"Mumbles" by Collin Stevic
The first project assigned in class was to visually represent the first 45 seconds of "Mumbles" by Collin Stevic. The song starts off with a wave of calmness, but quickly becomes energized with loud pitches and movement. My goal was show these movements through a series of organic shapes, color, and dimensions.
After revisiting the song, I realized that I was unsatisfied with my previous version. The song itself is very loud, energetic, and shows dynamic changes, but it also has a sense of calmness to it. As a result, I revised this project to reflect the song as appropriate as possible. Changes included swapping out certain shapes, creating more dynamic movements, and using loud colors.
