Break The Mold

Semi-finalist group in client 1 competition. Group Name: Known (Omar Mota, Nicki Ridley, Aimee Woodward, Kaitlyn Boyd. Every year in January, the ASU MLK Foundation holds a breakfast honoring servant leaders from the State and recognize their efforts. Groups in class then competes to win over them as clients to brand their annual breakfast. Branding included creating a new logo/tagline, designing posters, bookmarks, and t-shirt designs, as well as creating a mock up website and e-vite.

Poster Design

As a group, we created “Break the Mold”, signifying to go above and beyond what it means to be a servant leader. Typeface: Futura PT. Colors signify diversity.

Poster design was the base of all our other designs and mock-ups.

T-shirt Mock-ups

For a more money efficiency, we went with colored shirts instead of a colored logo.

The backs of the shirts have the winner of the servant leaders being honored at the breakfast.

Bookmarks

At the breakfast, each seat is accompanied with a stack of bookmarks for each person. Our group presented the idea of using cigar wraps for the bookmarks to keep the table looking less busy and more presentable, as well as having bookmarks easier to carry around.

Bookmarks are meant to showcase student’s drawings of what they think a servant leader is or looks like. To highlight these student, we chose to write their names with the colors incorporated in the “Break the Mold” logo.
